The 2026 series will open at Geelong, Victoria, on 7 November, before heading to Perth, Western Australia, on 14 November, and Newcastle, New South Wales, on 28 November. The BLU CRU YZ65 Cup is designed to provide more than a race experience, with participants and their families receiving access to Yamaha’s professional race teams and a range of factory-style activities. Yamaha says the aim is to make every rider feel part of the factory race team while encouraging young YZ65 owners to remain involved with the BLU CRU program.

YZ65 Cup racers enjoyed the experience of a lifetime at round three of the Australian Supercross Championships racing.

“YMA has been providing this unique experience since 2018 and has proved super popular for young guns starting out in the sport,” said Yamaha Motor Australia Customer Activation Coordinator Jake Belford. “It’s great to see former Yamaha BLU CRU YZ65 Cup riders achieve success at the top level – such as 2026 FIM World Junior Motocross Champion Blake Bohannon.”

Riders must hold a current Motorcycling Australia or FIM licence, own a YZ65 to use in the event and provide valid proof of age. Entry is limited at each round, and while riders may apply for multiple events, successful entrants will compete at a maximum of one event.

The race fee is $1100 including GST, which includes a selection of genuine Yamaha apparel and merchandise. Parents are also asked to assess their child’s riding ability and confidence before applying, as the event will take place on a modified supercross track in a competitive environment.

The BLU CRU YZ65 Cup is part of Yamaha’s ongoing support for grassroots motocross, with extensive media coverage planned across the AUSX series.
